How much gear can the Basecamp 5000 hold?
The Basecamp offers 5000 cubic inches of storage, making it ideal for 4–5 day backcountry hunts or extended trips. It’s built to carry your full camp setup—shelter, food, gear, and optics.
Is the Basecamp 5000 waterproof?
Yes. Like every ROKMAN® pack, the Basecamp 5000 has a 100% waterproof internal body thanks to its seam-welded construction and weather-sealed materials. Weatherproof external zipper pockets.
Can I carry a spotting scope or tripod?
Yes.The Basecamp 5000 features a lined side pocket specifically designed to store and protect a spotting scope. It also includes an external pocket and webbing tie-down system to secure a tripod or rifle butt.
Is there room for a hydration bladder?
Definitely. The Basecamp features a dedicated top-load pocket that fits a 3L hydration bladder, keeping your water separate from main storage for easy access and leak protection.
Can you carry meat on the inside of the pack?
Yes, the Basecamp 5000 is fully waterproof and capable of carrying meat inside the main compartment. However, we recommend using the external Nose Hole Stowable Strap™ system for hauling meat. This allows you to secure loads externally, keeping the interior clean.
